Prynwch fwyd a phethau eraill o siopau lleol.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gwybodaeth gan Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk\/Default.asp?pid=335&amp;LangID=2\">Cod Cefn Gwlad<\/a><a name=\"eng\"><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When Visiting Sites<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">When visiting the sites please follow The Countryside Code &#8211; Respect, Protect, Enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Be Safe &#8211; plan ahead and respect all signs and fences:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Refer to up-to-date maps or guidebooks, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturalresourceswales.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Natural Resources Wales<\/a>\u00a0or contact local information centres.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 You&#8217;re responsible for your own safety and for others in your care, so be prepared\u00a0for changes in weather and other events. Visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.naturalresourceswales.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Natural Resources Wales<\/a>\u00a0for links to\u00a0organisations offering specific advice on equipment and safety, or contact visitor\u00a0information centres and libraries for a list of outdoor recreation groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Check weather forecasts before you leave, and don&#8217;t be afraid to turn back.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Part of the appeal of the countryside is that you can get away from it all. You may not see\u00a0anyone for hours and there are many places without clear mobile-phone signals, so let\u00a0someone else know where you&#8217;re going and when you expect to return.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Get to know the signs and symbols used in the countryside to show paths and open countryside.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Leave gates &amp; property as you find them<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please respect the working life of the countryside, as our actions can affect people&#8217;s livelihoods, our\u00a0heritage, and the safety and welfare of animals and ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In fields where crops are growing, follow the paths wherever possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A farmer will normally leave a gate closed to keep livestock in, but may sometimes leave it\u00a0open so they can reach food and water. Leave gates as you find them or follow instructions\u00a0on signs (if walking in a group, make sure the last person knows how to leave the gates).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Use gates and stiles wherever possible \u2013 climbing over walls, hedges and fences can damage\u00a0them and increase the risk of farm animals escaping.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Leave machinery and livestock alone \u2013 don&#8217;t interfere with animals even if you think they&#8217;re\u00a0in distress. Try to alert the farmer instead.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Our heritage belongs to all of us \u2013 be careful not to disturb ruins and historic sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If you think a sign is illegal or misleading (for example, a &#8216;Private \u2013 No Entry&#8217; sign on a public\u00a0footpath), contact the local authority.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Report vandalism at sites\u2014you may be the only one that sees it<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Never remove anything from the site<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Where the heritage site is on private land, please ask the landowners permission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Protect plants &amp; animals, and take your litter home<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We have a responsibility to protect our countryside now and for future generations, so make sure\u00a0you don&#8217;t harm animals, birds, plants or trees.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Litter and leftover food doesn&#8217;t just spoil the beauty of the countryside, it can be dangerous\u00a0to wildlife and farm animals and can spread disease \u2013 so take your litter home with you\u00a0(dropping litter and dumping rubbish are criminal offences).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Discover the beauty of the natural environment and take special care not to damage,\u00a0destroy or remove features such as rocks, plants and trees. They provide homes and food for\u00a0wildlife, and add to everybody&#8217;s enjoyment of the countryside.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Wild animals and farm animals can behave unpredictably if you get too close, especially if\u00a0they&#8217;re with their young \u2013 so give them plenty of space.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fires can be as devastating to wildlife and habitats as they are to people and property \u2013 so\u00a0be careful not to drop a match or smouldering cigarette at any time of the year. Sometimes,\u00a0controlled fires are used to manage vegetation, particularly on heaths and moors between\u00a0October and early April, so please check that a fire is not supervised before calling 999.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Keep dogs under control<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The countryside is a great place to exercise dogs, but it&#8217;s every owner&#8217;s duty to make sure their dog\u00a0is not a danger or nuisance to farm animals, wildlife or other people.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 By law, you must control your dog so that it does not disturb or scare farm animals or\u00a0wildlife. You must keep your dog on a short lead on most areas of open country and\u00a0common land between 1 March and 31 July, and at all times near farm animals.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 You do not have to put your dog on a lead on public paths as long as it is under close control.\u00a0But as a general rule, keep your dog on a lead if you cannot rely on its obedience. By law,\u00a0farmers are entitled to destroy a dog that injures or worries their animals.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If a farm animal chases you and your dog, it is safer to let your dog off the lead \u2013 don&#8217;t risk\u00a0getting hurt by trying to protect it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Take particular care that your dog doesn&#8217;t scare sheep and lambs or wander where it might\u00a0disturb birds that nest on the ground and other wildlife \u2013 eggs and young will soon die\u00a0without protection from their parents.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Everyone knows how unpleasant dog mess is and it can cause infections \u2013 so always clean\u00a0up after your dog and get rid of the mess responsibly. Also make sure your dog is wormed<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 At certain times dogs may not be allowed on some areas of open land or may need to be\u00a0kept on a lead. Please follow any signs. You can also find out more about these rules from or\u00a0by phoning the CCW Enquiry Line on 0845 130 6229.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Consider other people<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Showing consideration and respect for other people makes the countryside a pleasant environment\u00a0for everyone \u2013 at home, at work and at leisure.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Busy traffic on small country roads can be unpleasant and dangerous to local people, visitors\u00a0and wildlife \u2013 so slow down and, where possible, leave your vehicle at home, consider\u00a0sharing lifts and use alternatives such as public transport or cycling (for public transport\u00a0information, phone Traveline on 0870 608 2608).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Respect the needs of local people \u2013 for example, don&#8217;t block gateways, driveways or other entry points with your vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 When riding a bike or driving a vehicle, slow down for horses, walkers, and livestock and\u00a0give them plenty of room.
