House of two storeys and barn, probably of the late 17th or early 18th century. The walls of both are built of coursed rubble, their roofs covered mostly with old coarse slates. The house is of L-plan, with steep gables; at the front, or main, wing both chimney stacks are of moderate height; at the back wing there was a projecting square stack, now contained in a low extension. The unaltered window openings are small, slightly taller than broad, under rough stone heads. In both wings there are chamfered ceiling beams and joists at the ground floor. In the front wing an in-and-out boarded partition remains in position to the right of the front entrance; at the upper floor are plank-built doors, one of which is dated 1799\u00b7 The barn at the N.E. has side doorways up to the eaves, slit windows, and trusses of rough pegged timber.<\/p>\n
