{"id":100,"date":"2014-07-08T21:17:19","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T21:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crwydro.co.uk\/llangian\/?page_id=100"},"modified":"2014-07-10T23:36:34","modified_gmt":"2014-07-10T23:36:34","slug":"1616-rhydolion","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/crwydro.co.uk\/llangian\/?page_id=100","title":{"rendered":"(1616) RHYDOLION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A two-storeyed house, probably of the late 16th or early 17th century, with later half-dormers, extensions and alterations .It was the home of the Puritan Commissioner Jeffrey Parry (ob. 1658), ancestor of the Parry and Jones-Parry family, of Madryn. 1<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/crwydro.co.uk\/llangian\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Rhydolion.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/crwydro.co.uk\/llangian\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Rhydolion.jpg\" alt=\"Rhydolion\" width=\"248\" height=\"214\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-234\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is built of rubble, now largely rough-cast. The main block lies N.-S., with the oldest part at the N. This formerly had a stone stair at the side of the fireplace, lighted by a small window which still contains its original diamond-leaded glazing. In the mid-18th century the house was S., being almost doubled in length, and was completely re-roofed; the half-dormers are probably of this date, although like the roof they have been recently re-slated . A small 19th-century kitchen wing has been added near the centre of the W. or rear elevation.
