It is rubble-built and was of two storeys, the upper now much ruined; diameter at base about 14 ft., thickness of wall 3 ft.10 ins. It batters externally, has a tall entrance doorway on the E. and a blocked upper opening on the N. Internally the wall is vertical with a single offset and beam slots a little below the present wall-top.
