At 400-500 ft. above O.D on ground failing gently towards the E. Near a modern sheepfold at the foot of Carn Bach is an enclosure about 40 yds. N.-S. by 35 yds., with internal divisions which suggest the former presence of rectangular buildings. The walls are much robbed and overgrown but seem to have been about 3 ft. thick faced with slabs on edge. This enclosure stands at the N.W. angle of an area of terraced fields which extends about 400 yds. S. and 300 yds. E. At 300 yds to the E. (at SH 29303460 on 40 S.W.) a wall about 5 ft. wide of roughly piled boulders forms an enclosure about 20 yds. N.-S. by 11 yds., with an entrance 4 yds. wide in the centre of the S. side. The remains are earlier than the present field boundaries but from their state of preservation they do not appear to be as old as those which are found in association with enclosed round-hut groups.
Condition: poor.
