THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. CEIDI01 (Plate 39), standing on a hillock within a circular raised churchyard, is an undivided structure 29 ft. by 15ft. The walls are of roughly coursed boulders, the upper courses rebuilt. The W. gable

The roof utilises three trusses of ca. 1500, which are arch-braced, the  soffits  plain chamfered, and have diagonal struts cusped to form a quatrefoil between trefoils. Only the truss against the E. gable is certainly in situ. The modern wind-braces may use cuts originally provided.

Dei res parva crescit’; maker’s mark WC in a shield above a heart, and London date-letter I638-9. Height 6.25 ins.
