(1507) ENCLOSED HUT-GROUP

ENCLOSED HUT-GROUP 180 yds. N.N.W. of No. 1506, on level ground at 250 ft. above O.D. The enclosure, main axis W .N .W ., measures about 100 ft. by 60 ft. It is badly damaged, but appears to have been quadrilateral. Four circular huts are visible:
(i) At the S. angle, 20 ft. diameter, entrance on N.
(ii) On the line of the S.W. wall, 22 ft. diameter, entrance on E.
(iii) At the N. angle, 17 ft. diameter, possible entrance on S.E.
(iv) On the line of the N.E. wall, 12 ft. diameter.
The walls survive as grassy banks 4-6 ft. wide and 2 ft. high, with a few stones visible in places. The enclosure wall is fragmentary.
Condition: poor; partly obscured “by dumped stones.
