(1672) PONT PENSARN

Carrying the old road from Pwllheli westwards, called Lleyn Street, over a tributary stream of the Afon Rhyd-hir. The single semicircular arch springs from a bed of large slabs and is faced with cut gritstone, the voussoirs being 18 ins. long and about 8 ins. wide. Above it the breast walls of random rubble are offset 2 or 3 ins. The parapets are coped with rough slabs. Span of arch 11 ft., width at parapets 21 ft. Built probably in 1775.1
