FFYNNON GADFARCH (SH 39974021, 33 S.W. Holy Wells,
pp. 82, 150) has been modernised. The suggestion that a
chapel stood nearby at Llangedwydd (see No. 1495 above)
seems to be based solely on the ‘Llan’ element in that name.
This spelling, however, is modern; older forms give Llyn or
LIen, corresponding to the local pronunciation.
