(1512) LONG HUT N.E. of Yoke House

LONG HUT N.E. of Yoke House, at 250 ft. above O .D. at the base of a low cliff facing W. The building measures 23 ft. long from E. to W. and 12 ft. wide. The walls are 2 ft. 6 ins. thick and consist of a base course faced with large boulders above which upper courses of dry walling of large stones remain in places, reaching a height of 2 ft. 6 ins. at the E. end of the building. Old field walls abut against the N. and S. sides, and on the E. is a small rectangular addition 12 ft. long, built of very large stones. The structure is perhaps an old sheepfold or has been rebuilt as such.
Condition: ruined.
